do I have time?

Last night I went back into a number of silk scarves tht had the first layer and needed more. I was working at home and had a limited number of tools/screens to work with, but I had a good time improving them. I was up late but got them all done and ironed and packed to travel with me. My process, after I have done whatever I have done (here, added the dark layer you see on top) is this: 1. Hang to dry, with a fan blowing on them. 2. When dry, roll up in newspaper and steam for 20 minutes. This gives the fabric both heat and moisture, which sets the dyes. I do not like to microwave my cloth. 3. Rinse in a bucket of cold water. 4. Throw in hot wash with Free & Clear detergent or Synthrapol or Blue Dawn, whatever is on hand. 5. Put in dryer. 6. Iron. This takes me from start to finish in about two hours. oops -airport driver is here. TTYL. Can you guess which is my favorite?

I like them all, but my favs are the turquoise one and the pink/orange one that says "Employees must wash hands". I love it! Must admit, I don't know which you like best.

I love them all too, but I especially love the third one down and I'm thinking it's your favorite also.

I think the top one is your favorite. But the bottom one is mine - as I sit here in my bright yellow mock turtle and matching beanie!

They are all wonderful, and the turquoise is just enchanting. Hard to guess which you prefer... No 1? They are all masterpieces!

Rayna, ALL mouth-watering, can't pick a favorite, I have no idea which is yours! Will you keep your favorite and wear it?

I know which one is my favorite - the first! And it has now come home to live with me since Rayna is in Springfield, MO and brought it to our guild meeting today. She gave a great program and now we get to top it off with her two-day workshop. Thanks, Rayna.

They are all gorgeous. I don't know about your fav, but mine is the gold one at the bottom. Not that I can wear gold...

Question: why don't you like to microwave fabrics? I only did it once, but it worked beautifully and made a lovely jacket. Will it fall apart someday?
