A great way to honor her mother. I read the article with great interest. It shows some facettes that you -- out of modesty -- haven't emphasized on your blog.

The motto "Life isn't fair" made me think. As kids, we need a belief in a world where the good is rewarded and the bad will be punished, in order to believe in the value of being good. An unfair world seems to contradict this principle. Yet, it is a wise resignation and helps not to be desperate about failures.
You either believe in God's justice/Karma or you accept coincidence, blind fate, an unfair world. How do you keep the courage to be fair in an unfair system? Can we add our little share of fairness and together give the whole darn thing a twist to the brighter side? I want to believe it.

Great to learn more about you... no wonder your French is so good. My cousin (who lives in LA and I will be visiting this week!) has always said Life Ain't for Sissies... and yes it is not fair... but it is the only game in town. Thanks for sharing Rayna!

What a great article and great advice. I have seen people with very little knowledge make others believe they know what they are talking about. What a great mother's day present from Jessica.
