Is there a pattern for your state available? I was only in NJ once several years ago going through on a Quilt Tour. We didn't get to see the "sites" but have fond memories of it's beautiful inland scenery. I'm sure there are many other beautiful places to visit as evidenced by your great pictures. Hopefully someday I'll have an opportunity to visit.
RosemaryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10294353.post-29054170283401270532014-07-14T09:31:51.823-04:002014-07-14T09:31:51.823-04:00Jersey girl here, for life! There was so much farmland up in Sussex, to this day I love the smell of farms.

I'm currently living in Michigan with my boyfriend of 6 years. He's originally from here and it's MUCH cheaper. I miss my home state and my family though and hope to move back soon to buy a house of our own! I can't imagine having kids and not letting them grow up where I did.

Jersey will always hold a special place in my heart and it will ALWAYS give me butterflies <3

Oh, AND I MISS MY TAYLOR HAM. I've only been to Newark so my image of NJ is rather gritty and industrial. I would enjoy taking a leisurely car trip on some of the back roads to see the small towns. You shouldn't judge a state based on a large city alone. Thanks for the tour! I've driven through on my way north but never had the chance to stop and really see places. Cape May and bird migration is one of the first pleasant things I think of when NJ comes to mind, and I really want to go there sometime. Now that I am retired, I have had a chance to explore parts of Jersey that I had never visited and it really does have some beautiful places, including the shore, the parks, the colleges and universities. I love to drive through the neighborhoods like Montclair, Princeton, Long Valley and Ridgewood and appreciate the beautiful homes and diversity of the different cultures we have everywhere. and I love my local farmers market.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00957216692977711303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10294353.post-25269382386853623372014-06-18T22:14:45.917-04:002014-06-18T22:14:45.917-04:00When i think of NJ I definitely think of the Garde...When i think of NJ I definitely think of the Garden State Pkwy...which we traveled for years from VA up to CT when we visited relatives.
