snow again

My friends and colleagues in Alabama and Georgia have written to tell me that they have 5" OF SNOW. Glad they're excited about this rarity and hope they stay safe. It's snowing here, yet again, and we're expecting a foot of snow and high winds tomorrow. Let me tell you, this is getting pretty old. I stopped at Whole Foods and laid in a few supplies so we can eat tomorrow. Schools are already cancelled all over the area and we will probably cancel a doctor's appointment which is about an hour away in good weather. Thank you for all your wonderful title suggestions and comments yesterday for my SDA piece. I was trying to remember what I was thinking when I screened the picture of this couple- (Russ - you were close - it is my great-grandparents) onto the piece of shibori. Probably wasn't thinking anything - it just seemed appropriate. They could have been looking in or out -- I thought they were looking in but almost everyone else thought they were behind bars -- prison...especially the men at the car dealership, who insisted this was a statement about marriage. Tomorrow is a soup day. Stay warm. And if you don't have plows or shovels, stay in.

What a sad idea about marriage: Trapped in bars! Well, didn't these guys find out whom they got married to, before they did?

Marriage?! You should have told them it's about being trapped in a car dealership.

I put the soup on the stove at 6 AM and made biscuits and banana bread. Now, unfortunately, it is time to WALK THE DOG. Not too far in this weather.

Glad you finished that piece.

The title "Time Served" is what came to my mind - works for looking in or out.

I like the idea of "looking within" and also "only our memories" or "holding our memories"
