this is why I started blogging in 2005

It was a place I could look at all the permutations of pieces I was working on, in one place - at the same time instead of in sequence.  So I'm going back to my roots with this post and it has already helped me make up my mind - or at least eliminate two of the versions from consideration.

Are you sick of looking at these yet?  I am.  So I am going to read for the rest of this evening - or at least till the salted caramel ice cream mixture is cold enough to put into the ice cream maker. What else is new?  Check out Nina-Marie's blog, where I'm putting a link to this post on Off the Wall Friday!

Got stuck a bit? Me, too -- I'm dwelling on repetitions. Later, you might love them yet. It was so hot yesterday, and even during the night. Tropical!

I agree, it really does help to put things up on the computer, let them gel, and come back to it.
I'm not tired of looking at it. I do the same thing. It's fun to watch the process too.
You'll work it out better than I can, but I will say that I like the section with the narrow strips running vertically ion the right in the first version and the left in the second version when you've shifted them to the inside in the third and fourth version.
You'll be inspired when you come back to it with a fresh eye.as you say in your book, this is the slow part in your process. I've experimented a bit and have found it could be agonizing if I try to hard.

I can't believe they haven't come up with a way that you can share your icecream as well as your art through blogging - geesh!! That said - I agree that I like to see the trials and tribulations of a art in creation. I like to have a record of my own and I like to see others. It helps me feel like we're all in it together and that art doesn't just magically appear.

I think the reason you can't decide is because each of the four is as good as the other three. Thanks for sharing your process.

All of the above comments are so true! I loved Nina-Marie's, about sharing your ice cream on the blog too! And yes, your collections are beautiful...all of them. It does help to see them on the screen!

Interestingly, I liked one better than the others when I read your blog post on my tablet but the others better when I looked at it on my laptop just now....

Your work always look good. So does that tart and tangy frozen mango Kefir by Lifeway we discovered a few weeks ago!

I love how colorful these are. I am finding myself drawn to a more vivid color palette! Good luck with your choice!

I like the first one.

I also think you should share the ice cream recipe! I haven't made it in years and thought I should try making some again.
