A real holiday

I cannot remember when I have felt so relaxed, laughed so much,or happily frittered away so much time.

With the exception  of Wednesday, when it rained most of the day,the weather was gorgeous and the landscape was new to me. A few pix from our walks...

Lupine grows wild all over. I need to get some for my garden.
Would that I had ferns like these!
I don't know what these are. Buttercups?
We sat on the porch and watched the lobster boats pull up the traps

and on our last night there, watched this sunset.

Creeping buttercups. If you have milk cows, you try to get rid of it in the pasture as it makes the milk taste funny.

the thing I miss most about Maine is the sunsets/sunrises. There is not much I ask for from America from family any more because you can get most of it here now...even marshmallow fluff! But I always ask for a Maine calendar because it usually has a spectacular sunset on one of the months!
Glad you are getting rested and relaxed.

I've never seen lupins growing wild I don't even know if we get that here); just domesticated ones in gardens. They have much more impact in a huge drift like that - I love it. The whole place looks beautiful.

Yes, those are buttercups and wild lupine. The fern is a Cinnamon Fern. Glad you had a restful time. Love, Del
