is when I think a piece is finished, I am laying it out on top of the batting, and then it yells "STOP!!" 
Here it was, lying on the floor just a little while ago. And a scrap of fabric I had cut out from the back fell onto it from the table . Aha! I knew I had to put on the brakes and try something. So I pieced together what was left of the fabric and put it along the bottom.

No. It looks too mch like a border. My husband comes in and he does't like it either - but for his own reason, which has nothing to do with why it doesn't work for me. But - hmm...it needs to be there somewhere as an echo. So I try it on the left and it's wrong: there is already a lot of dark there. Finally, I move it to the right hand side and make it narrow.
