gelatin prints

These seem to be the topic on a number of discussion lists this week. While I was ironing fabric tonight to clear my head and organize the random stuff lying around, I came across quite a few gelatin printed pieces of fabric. Here are some that I might ever do something with.

In this last one, coming up, the gelatin print is the background. I wasn't happy with it so I screened some images on top. This is only one area of the fabric; there are other background textures and other images elsewhere on the cloth. That's all for tonight. I'll try to be better about posting; I'm just waiting for some interesting adventures to occur so I have something to write about. Ho hum.

Hi Rayna!
All of this gelatin printing discussion has gotten me very hungry to get back to it. You probably don't recall that the day you covered this in the heavenly week I had with you at Campbell (yes, the week of the lady bug invasion!), I ended up at the Doc in the Box with sinusitis. Even though you spent that entire evening trying to get me back up to speed, I never really "got it". But now I intend to revisit it time and time again. I'm really beginning to see places where I can use it and I'm excited!!!
Thanks again for that wonderful week. I have such fond memories of it!!!

Poor Judy - of course I remember that terrible sinus infection you had. Go back to the gelatin and play a bit and let me see what you've done with it.

Exciting adventures just don't happen to me, Rayna! Do some controversial work! Post on the yahoo groups and ask for comments - it's what I do when my ratings fall.

Love the top two prints. You should make something with them, they're all wonderful.
