Is there such a thing as too much color? Probably not. I came home to everything in bloom in the front postage stamp garden. I also have to admit that color and pattern seduced me this past week, as I was surrounded by it at Shiisa Quilts.
Not since Sally Davis closed her wonderful fabric store in NJ several years ago, have I been in a place with such a delicious selection - and I must admit that I came home with (horrors!) commercial fabric...as well as a couple of seam rippers, which I am always losing.
Tonight I ran to the mall, where I have not been in years. Bought out the stores for Emma and picked up some clothes for my mother, both of whom I will see tomorrow. In the meantime, I need my beauty sleep.

No such thing as too much color! Show us what fabrics you actually bought.
I'm really glad I'm not color blind. Aren't you? The world would not be the same place in black and white and shades of gray!
I hope you have a colorful and exciting Mothers' Day!
Happy Mother's Day! It should be very special with Emma around.
What a feast for the eye! There can't be too much colour, but sometimes there can be too many different colours. Never in nature though, nor in these pictures. Looking forward to seeing what you will do with the commercial fabrics.
In Tibet they believe that favouring radiant colors will lead to a good incarnation in next life. The soul goes through a region after death in which at first the radiant five colors appear, and if the soul can stand the brightness, she/he will be led into a good realm (Tibetan Book of the Dead).
thanks eva for that....
and I don't think one can have too much color. ever.
Like you Rayna, I have always been a complete fanatic for color. And now Eva has given me hope for my future. Thanks and Happy Mothers' day. I am spending mine in the studio and thinking just how fortunate I am.
Love the flowers and the fabric. Um, um, good! :)
Happy Mother's Day, Rayna!
Never, never, never, never, never too much color. ;)
