I finally watched it

Thanks for all your great comments and emails about my interview with Alex Anderson.  Despite the lighting and color on my end and the iPhone resolution, I was pleased with what I saw.  I hate watching myself but it wasn't so bad.  I especially loved the second part, which took place off camera (or so I thought) after we were finished with the official interview - LOL.

In case you missed it, here are the links.

Alex will be taking a class with me in 2013.  I'll keep you posted on where, when it is official.

I was about to call it a nite when I read this post.
I watched the after video and enjoyed the exchange between you two.
Can't wait 'til UPS delivers your book to me on Saturday.

hi rayna,
although we don't know one another'officially', i met you a few years back on-line. it was through a jewish quilt group with which i wasn't actively involved, so its been a while since i have received any updates about the members. i do remember you said some very nice things about the one quilt i had posted...i live in pgh and am acquainted with beryl your brother's wife---okay, enough intro---what i wanted to share with you is i have just done what you talked about with alex---I CUT UP A QUILT I HAD RECENTLY MADE because it had no spark even though the colors were wonderful--- but i couldn't bear to spend the next few months quilting it(Ii hand quilt)---yes, that first cut was the most difficult, but then i did feel so FREE!!!
here is the twist, i used my accuquilt to play with the newly cut up fabric and it was so much fun!!!
since you teach, i wanted to share this with you---the experimentation possibility is unlimited...
i hope that you try it --let me know

p.s. i really enjoyed your interaction with alex

Rayna, I just knew you were the coolest and the video confirmed it! It was a delight to hear your voice and your non-verbal gestures...so personable and earthy!

I just watched both videos and they were great! I can't wait to try my hand at sewing therapy.... this might just be the kick I need to help me be more spontaneous. Thanks, Rayna!

Rayna, I just watched the Alex/Rayna videos and loved them! Also treated myself to your book.
I have thought about you and our similar paths after our husbands' deaths. It is good to hear a smile and upbeat spirit in your voice, knowing that you are healing through your art. God is blessing us as we enjoy the freedom from our caregiving duties and go forward into the next chapter of our lives.
I have a month-long exhibit of 18 of my fiber art pieces at JavaWerks, pictures on my blog. http://www.marthaginn.blogspot.com. Hope you will take a look. I'm eager to receive your book!
