I forgot what I was going to say

Honestly, I had some brilliant thoughts earlier. But I got sidetracked sewing down a facing while trying to get Twitter and Facebook shortcuts organized so I don't have to go to the websites every time I want to post. Ah, yes. My nephew Oliver is in India now, traveling the country by himself and having an enchanted journey while he takes photos. Today, I caught up with his blog and apropos of Slumdog Millionaire, you MUST look at these photos. Read the brief text if you can, and be patient if the pix take a while to load. They are worth the wait. On the subject of pictures, I am stuck in a rut and thought I'd go back to my inspiration photos to see what was there. These may be enough to get me started... How interesting to see the consistency in these pictures. There are more, but this is enough for now.

Watching how people live/survive in India makes me shut up about fladenzores.

Buy the way, the number of visitors on your blog has surpassed the number of those to be saved by the Jehova's Witnesses.

Rayna, Oliver is having a MAGICAL journey, how fortunate for him in his youth to discover such wonder! I went far back to Paris and NY and so enjoyed his photography, much inspiration for art there! Love your photos, too, there must be parallel lines in your future, haha! With shadows! Regards, to you and Oliver, Debbie Bein

Thank you for sharing the link to your nephew's photos, they were amazing. The portrait of the young girl in the lavender print dress grabbed me-those eyes! I firmly believe every American should live for a time in a third world country- it changes your perspective forever. What an experience for him!

Thanks for sharing those photos, Rayna. I've been in India and Indonesia, and it is mind boggling how people with SO MUCH LESS than we have are generally happier than we are as a culture.
Your photos remind me of your shibori work after Jan's class!

Thanks for sharing the link to our nephew's photos of India. Anytime I may want to complain about my living conditions I will remember these photos and forever keep my peace. Sometimes we forget how good we have it.
