And Rachel, with one of her new pieces-in-process. I think I need to have it to hang on my fireplace wall, which is directly behind her. Oops.
I was showing Judy my batik'd fabric which, for some reason, she had not seen. And then we brainstormed about a piece I'm having trouble with. Isn't this what colleagues and friends are for?
One Monday a month we all get together and dye/paint/print (to borrow a phrase from Diane Herbort's Houston activity) and share techniques -- a lifesaving activity for all of us! These sessions have informed our work and it's fascinating to see how different the same techniques are in each of our hands. Next Monday we're doing gelatin plate printing.
Tomorrow and Thursday, I plan to stay in and work. I think I will not answer the phone. Don't call me, I'll call you.

What a good idea!
Y'know, all three of the quilts pictured would look fabulous on your fireplace wall.
Good Friends would give them to you so you could rotate the artwork. [grin]
Poor Judy, she looks like she is hunched over inside that photo frame! I'd love to see her quilts in full. Do you have another pic?
Envy you with a group of friends . . .
Please tell Rachael "that is the sexiest quilt I've seen in a while". How lucky to such a talented gaggle of girls to exchange ideas and creative stuff with!
Yes, I am lucky to have such a talented art group. Next time, I'll take more pix. Rachel's piece includes gorgeous silk she brought back from Vietnam and some pieces she printed, which don't show on this picture. She hand quilts!!
Rayna, you defintely need that quilt of Rachel's!
I don't think Rachel thinks so, however.
