Yawn...

So today I didn't even leave the house to go to the mailbox up the block.  White-out weather, still going from this morning. The plows are out, and I hope I can get out tomorrow.  Snow again Friday & Sat.  I have to say it was a pretty relaxing day -- something I haven't been able to say in eons.

To counteract the monochromatic surroundings, I worked a bit on the Q.  Making a little progress, one block at a time. No thinking, just brainless sewing.  Now there's a name for a class: Brainless Sewing!
I have to go renew my sprit and my brain - the clock has struck midnight and it is already tomorrow.

You're lucky to have snow. At home, there is not much. My girls are often disappointed and we're going skiing in three weeks for the snow.
Your blocks are always beautiful.

being able to stay in and relax is sometimes the only good thing i can say about being snowed in. here they are good about keeping mainroads and state owned road clear but side streets can be treacherous. be careful.

All this white was getting on my nerves, too. It might be nice for a change, but not all the time and that much! And as I walk a lot, I'm scared to fall, when there is so much ice.
Love your brainless sewing. The result is convincing. And colorful! I'll do some brainless painting today. The brain is overestimated.

Love this - is it Miss Emma's quilt? Sorry about your snow; we frequently have winters that are like that, up here in Ithaca NY, but this year we've been lucky & the worst of it has missed us. Which does not actually sweeten the fact that yesterday, when I absolutely HAD to get out to the PO to mail off an order, and planned to take my mom out to lunch, do a little shopping, find a pattern for something cute to make for Sylvia for Valentines day, etc., my car got stuck in the snow lining my driveway (I can't back up for shit!), where it remains, thwarting my every plan. DH away, of course - I always get snowed in when he's away!
